Do you ever find yourself getting incredibly annoyed over really small and irritating things? Like when your toaster only toasts one slice of the bread. These tiny trivial things really aren't worth getting upset about. I know that, there are far bigger problems to worry about but they niggle away at me until I have to do something about it. I had this issue at work with laminating pouches! You'd think buying laminating pouches would be easy. They're all the same right? How wrong could I be!

I was given the task of creating the work rotas each week. I was then to print out a copy for each office and laminate them. That's 25 copies each week. I thought it was a simple task. I actually volunteered to do this. I felt like it would be a bit of a break for me from my more complex jobs. Little did I know it would end up being so annoying?

I placed my order for the lamination pouches with our usual supplier. As we use a lot of lamination pouches, I went for a large quantity that seemed to be really good value. It hadn't occurred to me that not all laminating pouches are created equal! When the laminating pouches arrived I set about my new task of creating the rotas. I didn't start the job until late in the day, presuming it wouldn't take too long.

Well, it all went wrong. I had so much trouble getting the pouches to go through the machine; they kept creasing up half way through. I thought it was my fault. I thought I wasn't using the machine properly. So I asked for help from someone who had used it before and they couldn't get the stupid laminating pouches to go through either!

In the end I gave up. The next morning, on the way to work, I went to a local stationery store and asked for their advice. They suggested that perhaps I'd be better off with thicker lamination pouches so I bought a small pack of thicker ones. These went through the machine fine, but when they came out the other end there were lots of air bubbles in the lamination. This obscured the text and made it unreadable. By this point I was at the end of my tether and ready to explode! Luckily a colleague noticed my terribly bad mood and came to my rescue. He had a laminating machine at home and always bought Zentesi laminating pouches that he found worked well. He promised to bring me a few in to try out.

What a difference. These pouches were even thicker than the second batch. They worked like a dream. They went straight through the machine with no fuss or bother and they came out the other end perfectly with no air bubbles. I immediately placed an order for 200 Zentesi laminating pouches. Finally my problem was solved. There's bound to be some other annoying issue in the office sooner or later, but at least I can get my laminating done without having to shout and scream at the laminating machine!
